ISO1042BDWVR device is an electrically isolated controller local area network (CAN)transceiver that meets the ISO11898-2 (2016)standard specification.

The ISO1042BDWVR device provides the ± 70 V DC bus fault protection function and the ± 30 V common-mode voltage range.

The device supports up to 5 Mbps data rate in the CANFD mode, which enables a faster load

transmission compared with the classical CAN. The device uses a silica (SiO2) insulated grille to

withstand a voltage of 5000 VRMS and a working voltage of  1060VRMS. Electromagnetic

compatibility is significantly enhanced, enabling system-level ESD, EFT, and surge, and meeting

the radiation standards. Using  with  isolated

power supplies, this device resists high voltage shocks and prevents noise  current  from  the  bus

from entering the local ground. ISO1042BDWVR devices can be used for basic and enhanced

isolation. The ISO1042BDWVR device supports a wide ambient temperature range from 40 C to + 125 C .

The device can be used in the SOIC-16 (DW) and a more compact SOIC-8 (DWV) packaging.
